Montgomery County Reports 129 New COVID-19 Cases and 13 Deaths

A Total Number of 3600 Cases and 207 Deaths Have Been Reported

Montgomery County officials and the Office of Public Health (OPH) today reported 129 additional individuals who tested positive and 13 individuals who died of COVID-19 bringing the countywide total to 3600 cases and 207 deaths.

“We continue to report a steady number of individuals testing positive for COVID-19, which reinforces the continued need to stay at home except for essential work and essential errands,” said Dr. Valerie A. Arkoosh, Chair, Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. “I am also saddened to report the deaths of 13 individuals.”

Of the 13 individuals who died of COVID-19, two had been hospitalized, 10 resided in long-term care facilities, and their ages ranged from 76-years-old to 95-years-old. Of those individuals, nine were female and four were male.

The 129 positive individuals are from 39 municipalities. Sixty-one municipalities have been affected. A breakdown of today’s reported cases follows:

 Montgomery County’s drive-through COVID-19 testing location on the Central Campus of Montgomery County Community College will re-open for the week on Monday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., by appointment only for individuals that meet the required criteria and as testing supplies allow. No treatment will be given on-site.
